The catalog of EFEO Publications includes works on a wide range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences (archaeology, history, anthropology, literature, philology, etc.), centered on Asia, from India to Japan.
These publications address both specialists, and a wider public interested in Asian civilizations and societies.
Hugo David studied philosophy and Sanskrit philology at the Universities of Nancy, Paris-3 and Paris-4, and obtained his doctoral degree in 2012 from the École Pratique des Hautes Études for a thesis on the tenth-century Vedāntin Prakāśātman. His main areas of research are Indian philosophical and exegetical traditions, especially those of Mīmāṃsā, Vedānta and Vyākaraṇa. As member of the École française d’Extrême-Orient since 2015, he is currently active at the Pondicherry Centre of the EFEO.
