The catalog of EFEO Publications includes works on a wide range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences (archaeology, history, anthropology, literature, philology, etc.), centered on Asia, from India to Japan.
These publications address both specialists, and a wider public interested in Asian civilizations and societies.
Yamagata Mariko 山形眞理子 is Specially Appointed Professor at the Curator Course, Certification Programs, at Rikkyo University, Tokyo. She received her PhD degree in archaeology from the Graduate School of Humanities, the University of Tokyo in 1995. She has been involved in archaeological research in Vietnam since the 1990s, specifically focusing on the transition from the Iron Age to the emergence and the formation of the early state of Linyi (Champa) in the Indochina Peninsula. She has published several books and articles in Japanese, English and Vietnamese including Cultural Heritage and Museums in Southeast Asia (in Japanese, co-edited with Tokusawa Keiichi, Yuzankaku, 2023), “Di tích Trà Kiệu trong bối cảnh Khảo cổ học tiền và sơ sử Quảng Nam” (in Ủy ban Nhân dân huyện Duy Xuyên – Tỉnh Quảng Nam [ed.], Kỉ yếu Hội thảo khoa học Quốc gia: Duy Xuyên trong tiến trình Lịch sử dân tộc, Nhà xuất bản Đà Nẵng, 2024), and The Excavation of Hoa Diem in Central Vietnam (co-edited with Bùi Chí Hoàng and Nguyễn Kim Dung, Showa Women’s University, 2013).
