Jacqueline I. Stone
is Professor of Japanese Religions in the Religion Department of Princeton University. She is the author of Original Enlightenment and the Transformation of Medieval Japanese Buddhism (University of Hawaii Press, 1999). Her current research projects include a study of deathbed practices in premodern Japan.
