Fabio Rambelli
is Professor of East Asian Languages and Cultural Studies and Professor of Religious Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has published Vegetal Buddhas (ISEAS, 2001), Buddhas and Kami in Japan (co-edited with Mark Teeuwen, RoutledgeCurzon, 2003), and Buddhist Materiality (Stanford University Press, 2007). He is currently working on the impact of Indian civilization on pre-modern Japan and on Buddhist economics.
