About - CHAO Chin-yung
Chao Chin-yung 趙金勇 is Associate Professor and Director of the Institute of Archaeology, National Cheng Kung University, and Associate Research Fellow, Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. His primary fieldwork areas include Taiwan and Southeast Asia. He was elected the first President of the Archaeological Society of Taiwan. His research interests are mainly in the fields of social archaeology and historical archaeology, with his current research focusing on socio-cultural processes before and during colonization in Taiwan.
