Lee Chian-wei 李建緯 is a Professor in the Master’s Program of Culture and Social Innovation at Feng Chia University (逢甲大學文化與社會創新碩士學位學程). His research encompasses surveys of cultural antique artifacts, Taiwanese folk religious relics, Chinese gold and silverware, and Chinese material culture. He has written over forty journal articles, including “Jiayi Wanggang Taisheng gong Mazu shenxiang niandai yanjiu: Cong lishi, kexue yu fengge fenxi” 嘉義魍港太聖宮媽祖神像年代研究: 從歷史、科學與風格分析 [The Dating of Wanckan Mazu Statue of Tai Sheng Temple in Chia Yi County: By Historical, Scientific, and Style Analysis] (2018); “Taiwan Mazu miao xiancun ‘yubian’ yanjiu: Jian lun qi suo fanying de jiti jiyi yu zhengzhi shenhua” 臺灣媽祖廟現存「御匾」研究:兼論其所反映的集體記憶與政治神話 [A Study of Existing “Imperial Banners” in Taiwanese Mazu Temples: On Collective Memory and Political Mythology Reflected in Them] (2014); and over fifty monographs and book chapters, including Lishi, jiyi yu zhanshi: Taiwan chuanshi zongjiao wenwu yanjiu 歷史、記憶與展示:臺灣傳世宗教文物研究 [History, Memory, and Display: Research on Religious Artifacts in Taiwan] (2018); “Taiwan chuanshi ruanshen Mazu shenxiang de xingbie yihan” 臺灣傳世軟身媽祖神像的性別意涵 [Gender Implications of Taiwan’s Enduring “Flexible Body” of Mazu Deities] (2020). He is also the editor of Wenwu pucha yu zhanxing fenji zuoye shouce 文物普查與暫行分級作業手冊 [Handbook for Cultural Relic Surveys and Temporary Classification Operations] (2018).
