About - EBIHARA Shiho

Ebihara Shiho 海老原志穂 is an Assistant Professor of the Hakubi Center for Advanced Research and the Graduate School of Letters at Kyoto University. She specializes in descriptive linguistics of Tibetan dialects, and also translates and studies Tibetan literature. Her main research interest is Amdo Tibetan spoken in northeast Tibet. She is the author of Amudo Chibetto-go bunpō アムド・チベット語文法 [A Grammar of Amdo Tibetan] (Hituzi Syobō, 2019), and the editor and translator of Chibetto josei shishū: Gendai Chibetto o daihyō suru 7 nin 27 sen チベット女性詩集: 現代チベットを代表する 7人・27選 [Tibetan Women’s Poetry: Twenty-Seven Poems by Seven Leading Contemporary Tibetans] (Dandansha, 2023) and Darai Rama rokusei ren’ai shishū ダライ・ラマ六世恋愛詩集 [Love Songs of the 6th Dalai Lama] (with Imaeda Yoshirō; Iwanami Shoten, 2023).
