The catalog of EFEO Publications includes works on a wide range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences (archaeology, history, anthropology, literature, philology, etc.), centered on Asia, from India to Japan.

Hugh R. Clark is Professor (Emeritus) of History and East Asian Studies at Ursinus College (Pennsylvania, USA). He has published extensively on the history of Fujian through Tang and Song dynasties, including Portrait of a Community: Society, Culture, and the Structures of Kinship in the Mulan River Valley from the Late Tang through the Song (2007) and Sinitic Encounter in Southeast China through the First Millennium CE (2016). His most recent work includes “What’s the Matter with ‘China’: A Critique of Teleological History” (Journal of Asian Studies, 2017).
