The catalog of EFEO Publications includes works on a wide range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences (archaeology, history, anthropology, literature, philology, etc.), centered on Asia, from India to Japan.
These publications address both specialists, and a wider public interested in Asian civilizations and societies.
Chen Yu-mei received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the Department of Anthropology, National Taiwan University in 1977 and 1980. In 1986, she went to Cambridge University on a national fellowship (Ministry of Education, Taiwan) to pursue further studied under the supervision of Ian Hodder. She finished her PhD dissertation in 1992. She worked as a research fellow at the Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica from 1987 to 2016. Her research interests focus mainly on ethnoarchaeology, historical archaeology and archaeological ethics.
