Harriet Hunter

Doctoral candidate at the Centre for Japanese and Korean Studies at the University of Leiden. In her studies on Chinese and Japanese tan trie art, she is investigating the source for the type of Mandalas introduced in Japan and especially the iconographical and iconological changes in the tradition under the influence of the ninth-century Chinese esoteric master Faquan.
