Farzeen Baldrian-Hussein
Doctorat (troisième cycle), University of Paris VII (1979). A specialist in Taoist inner alchemy of the Northern Song period (960- 1 1 27), author of the book Procédés secrets du Joyau magique (Les Deux Océans, 1984), a fundamental text on Inner Alchemy techniques of the Zhong-Lu school. She has participated in a number of projects concerning Taoism. One of these is the Handbook of the Taoist Canon (University of Chicago Press, 2004) and the Encyclopedia of Taoism (Routledge, 2004). She has contributed many articles on inner alchemy to the Cahiers d'Extrême- Asie since its inception. She is currently finishing a book on a twelfth-century compendium of inner alchemical literature comprising over a hundred texts, many undated or lost.
