About - SHEN Weirong
Shen Weirong
Currently an invited research fellow at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (Kyoto) and research fellow at Lumbini International Research Institute (Nepal) since 1999. He was trained in disciplines of history, Central Asian studies and religious studies in both Nanjing University and Bonn University. He is the author of Leben und historische Bedeutung des ersten Dalai Lama dGe ''dun grub pa dpal bzangpo (1391-1474) (Monumenta Serica, Germany, 2002). His research interest covers Tibetan history and religion, history of interactions between Chinese, Tibetan, Tangut and Mongols. His current research focuses on Khara Khoto Chinese texts of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism.
