David Mozina
is Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. His research focuses on the liturgical life of Meicheng Township (Meicheng zhen) and its environs in central Hunan province, on the history of thunder ritual (leifa) since the Song dynasty, and on Chinese and modern Western conceptions of ritual. He is currently at work on a monograph on rituals surrounding talismanic writing in central Hunan.
