The catalog of EFEO Publications includes works on a wide range of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences (archaeology, history, anthropology, literature, philology, etc.), centered on Asia, from India to Japan.

Hayashi Makoto
is professor at Aichi Gakuin University His publications include Kinsei Onmyôdô no kenkyu [Study on Onmyôdô of the Pre-modern period] (Tôkyô, Yoshikawa kôbunkan 2005); Tenmon-kata to Onmyôdô [Bureau of astronomy and calendar making in the Edo bakufu and Onmyôdô] (Tôkyô, Yamakawa shuppansha, 2006). He also co-edited with Matthias Hayek a special issue of Japanese Journal of Religious Studies, vol. 40:1 (2013), Onmyôdô in Japanese History (Nagoya, Nanzan University). His current interest is the study of Buddhism in the Modern period in Japan.
